Law is for people or lawyers?
I remember that during our Graduation time, in the last semester we used to have legal aid and awareness paper. In this paper, we were to make common person understand law. I was given responsibility of dealing with RTI(Right to Information). That day i was quite nervous as how to make it very simple. As usual i wrote a note on RTI but was pondering on how to really make it usable for a villager who is doing agriculture wor or doing manual work at home in mountain areas of Tehri. The time clicked and finally i presented the paper but was unable to really do what i was thinking about. From that day i still had some questions in mind:
1. Law is for people's welfare and good as Bentham said law is for maximizing good and happiness in the society(see, http://www.utilitarianphilosophy.com/jeremybentham.eng.html) But WHY LAW IS ALWAYS GIVEN LAST PRIORITY?
2. WHY LAW IS NEVER EASY FOR A COMMON PERSON?
3. WHY LAW IS WRITTEN IN SUCH A WAY TO NEVER LET A COMMON PERSON APPROACH IT?
4. WHY STATE NEVER DO MUCH TO SORT OUT THESE DIFFERENCES?
5. WHY LAW IS NOT SIMPLIFIED YET?
